Casa Chiros was a comfortable, pleasant stay, and I only wish I’d stayed longer. I paid just $15 for a triple standard room with an ensuite bathroom in Nov 2020, so it exceeded my expectations. The room had two double beds and one single, all with bright white, clean sheets. The mattresses were firm, which suits me. The bathroom had a new shower curtain, hot water, towels, soap, and shampoo. The A/C, fan, and TV all worked fine. I think I was the only guest, so it was quiet. The rooms are above the restaurant, right in the heart of Barra de Navidad. It’s a 5 min walk along the main artery from the Primera Plus/ETN bus stop in Barra. Maria Louisa, who was welcoming and hardworking, kept everything sparkling clean. The WiFi didn’t reach the rooms, but Maria Louisa told me upfront and showed me the router in the hallway by the balcony. I could get online there and enjoy the balcony view.

Everything is close by, and there’s a restaurant downstairs. The place is comfortable and has what you need, with the beach very close. My one issue was the outlets, there wasn’t anywhere to charge.

The owners were attentive the whole time and offered ideas for exploring the area. The place is in the center, near bars and restaurants, with top-notch cleanliness and service. Highly recommended.
