Vallarta Acqua Flamingos

Really lovely place, with excellent condos and great pools. I stayed in Unit 236.

The room was nice and the location was great, but the maintenance and service in the building were awful. In 95-degree heat, our power went out three nights in a row, each time for over an hour or two. Whenever I asked what was going on, I got a different excuse or explanation. The concept is beautiful, but it’s been executed very badly. I wouldn’t recommend it.

The condo we rented through airbnb was clean, stocked, and well maintained, and the beach was sandy rather than rocky. The location itself is beautiful. But construction on a new building between the two existing ones, turning the complex into a U shape, was painfully loud from 9 in the morning until dark. After the noise stopped, the place was relaxing again. I’d recommend staying here once the new addition is finished, and would check that construction is done before booking again. We stayed in Dec. 2018.

Beautiful beach and very nice pools, though the pools were colder than the ocean. The big issue was the north side, where a large condo was going up next door. Check which side you rent: construction ran from 8 am until 10-11 pm, with a lot of dust and extremely loud noise. We had to clean at least once a day to sit outside, and that was only if we could tolerate the sound.
