My wife and I needed a getaway, so we found the Mia Cancun. The staff made it a great stay: Juan Carlos ( both of you), Henry, the breakfast crew, the room service and cleaning crew, and the lifeguard/beach attendant were all very professional. Thanks again to everyone. We were in room 406B on one of the top floors. The windows looked out over the beautiful Caribbean Sea, and from the jet tub we had an awesome view of the Lagoon. The maids kept the room clean and smelling great. Getting to the room meant climbing 52 steps, which made for a nice mini workout! The beach was kept beautiful, and believe it or not, the sand never got hot. Local shops and restaurants filled out the rest of our adventure. We took the R1 or R2 buses along the strip, 21 pesos for two, or walked. Police were around day and night, and we never felt afraid walking anywhere.

We stayed on March 11th 2016. The staff were very friendly, but the room had no working air conditioning, and the motel Wi-Fi only worked in the lobby. The restaurant and bar were very basic. Wind blew all night, and in the morning we found chunks of paint in our open luggage.

If I could, I'd give this zero stars. Someone entered our room while we were asleep and stole our cellphones, tablet, purses with passports, and wallets. The hotel did nothing to help. Be careful: there was no security, and it seemed very easy to enter the room from the balconies and steal our things.
