The hotel itself is decent for the area, though better options are opening around Merida. My problem was repeatedly dealing with the Sales Manager, Alfonso, while scouting wedding locations and arranging rooms for our guests. Across three stays, he pushed us to book directly through him instead of online. On the first visit he comped our room, so we reluctantly agreed. The reservation never appeared in the system, and we waited over an hour at night for a room, which wasn’t the one he’d promised. For the wedding weekend, he gave us a promo code but again wouldn’t let guests book online. The phone prices he quoted my family were higher than the online rates, and he didn’t honor any of the promo code rates, even with several relatives staying there. We’re travel agents and book hotels all the time. Alfonso sounds professional in email, but in our experience he didn’t keep his word or handle things professionally. I wouldn’t plan an event here or work with him.

The room had everything we needed, and we felt comfortable, relaxed, and safe throughout our stay. This garden oasis is right in the best part of Merida, within walking distance of great restaurants and plaza grande. The on-site restaurant and bar were excellent too. A beautiful place to stay.

Rosie was so attentive during our stay and made sure we had everything we needed. She really made the whole visit great.

We arrived here at the last minute after a mix-up with our original hotel, and were pleasantly surprised by how much we liked it. Our room was especially charming, with lovely decor, plenty of space, a private patio, and a plunge pool. The hotel is beautiful throughout, the staff were friendly and helpful, and breakfast was delicious. It’s just around the corner from Calle 47 "restaurant row," and the parking is in a secure lot. We had a lovely stay and would highly recommend it.
