Hotel Villa Samary

The patio was a peaceful little spot, with birds gathering there and singing. The location was another highlight, just around the corner from la plaza and a short walk to the church, malecon, picturesque center of Chapala, and main roads. Fresh, organic, locally grown food was easy to find within walking distance. We stayed five nights during Carnaval in February, from February 24 to March 1, 2017. Our room faced the street and was noisy, but we knew that going in and were so tired at bedtime that it didn't keep us from sleeping. Hotel Villa Samary is a lovely property, and rooms farther from the street are surely quieter. The bed was firm and comfortable, with extra blankets and pillows in the cabinet. Hot water came through within a minute or two, and the woman who cleaned our room each day after we went out did a phenomenal job. The room decor could be improved, but that's not high on my list when I'm away enjoying a vacation. The Wi-Fi barely worked for the first two days. The owner said the internet company had come to fix it, but it still wasn't running. Once the signal came back, the Wi-Fi was good. I highly recommend Chapala and Hotel Villa Samary.
