Getting here over washed-out dirt roads is difficult, but the setting is gorgeous and the place itself is really cool. Half the pools were shut for maintenance, there were no saunas, and the masseuses only showed up as we were leaving. Still, the included buffet was tasty, and we enjoyed the visit more than we were disappointed by it. We’d like to come back for massages and the sauna, so next time we’ll call ahead.

I had a great time here. The room was comfortable and clean, with plenty of space and a good view. The pools were clean and had real thermal water, and having several pools helps keep clients separated. The buffet was good, with lots of food choices and attentive waiters. The downside was the water in the room and in the pool baths: it stayed cold even after I turned on the hot tap and let it run. They don’t provide toothpaste or a toothbrush, so remember to pack them.

We stayed on the third floor, with pools on the first and second floors. It’s a lovely cliffside setting, the roads are paved pretty well, and the rooms have blankets and a hot tub. We went in April and it was cold. It’s good for families. We saw three pools in total: one for guests, one for the general public, and another public pool on the way out. Hotel guests can use both the guest pool and the public one. The buffet room and restaurant had great service. There are options, and the basic food was good, though nothing special. Getting service by calling reception was frustrating. I asked about cleaning, but there wasn’t any, and when I asked what spa services were available, they told us to come down to reserve instead of answering. It felt like they didn’t want me to call. It sounds like service is better on WhatsApp.

I only visited the thermal baths, not the hotel. For about $25 US, I got to enjoy the baths, a massage, and the sauna. It was wonderful and incredibly therapeutic. I still felt better two or three days later.

The setting is beautiful, right in the mountains, and the water is lovely and really warm to hot. But the restaurant food was pretty bad. For what you pay for the hotel with the food package, the meals should be much better. I’d come back, but skip the package. The snack bar food was okay.
