Gamma Ciudad Juarez

Edit: I'm speechless. I came back from the gym and found the cleaning lady in my room, even though I'd deliberately asked the front desk not to do housekeeping. I don't need the bed made or fresh towels every day, and all that service feels like a waste of resources. The strong chemical smell was unbearable. I was furious at the front desk, and now I'm stuck outside waiting for it to fade because I can't go in to shower. The hotel is very nice inside, with a spacious restaurant, beautiful pool and lounge, and a decent gym. Staff are attentive, and it seems almost empty during the day. You can get a quiet room facing the parking lot or one inside with a view. The lobby smells like the pipes and needs some aroma. I don't understand why they need to do housekeeping when I'm only staying two days. Also, please don't stamp the toilet paper, it's really inconvenient to use.

I've stayed here two or three times, and it's a lovely, quiet, relaxing hotel near nice restaurants and shops. The garden has dimming lights that make it relaxing. I rated the service three stars instead of five because, on my last visit, a security guy spoke to me in a way that felt more street than professional. He questioned my fiance being there, as if I were bringing an unwanted guest or escort to the room. It made me feel a bit uncomfortable. I think he could have handled it in a more professional, customer service manner instead of sounding hostile.

The gardens and inner courtyards are beautiful, and there's a terrace on the second floor where you can walk around for ages. The place itself was beautiful and sits right across from the plaza, just across the street. Juarez is Juarez, but I felt a bit safer inside the hotel.

The staff were very friendly and nice, and the service was excellent. It's a beautiful hotel, and I highly recommend it.
