Hafersons Inn Hotel & Suites

The courtyard layout for parking makes for quiet suites, and we really liked that. The hotel was in a perfect location for us, and breakfast was very good, made the way we wanted. They also let us plug in our PHEV with our own 110v charging cable, which was another reason we chose to stay.

I'm here as a conference speaker, and the staff have been courteous and great. My first room had Wi-Fi with one bar at best and an AC unit that sounded like a sick truck, but they moved me and fixed both issues. The room is comfortable, with a few inconsistencies. The bed is great, a bit firm, which I like. It's a shower only, no tub. There was no working alarm clock or smoke detector, things I've come to expect in Mexico. I've enjoyed my stay.

The free breakfast plate was a nice touch, and you get to choose what you want, though you can find better food elsewhere. The rooms are spacious but old and kind of gross, and the place feels very outdated. Most of the updates seem limited to the lobby. I wouldn't stay again, especially since AirBnBs are cheaper and usually nicer. It's not really worth $955 MX pesos, so I'd book through a third party. Two stars for safety and location.

The staff were friendly, and we enjoyed the included breakfast. They took your order and made it how you wanted, with fruit, cereal, and other things to grab. Our one-night room had carpet with an unpleasant damp smell; it looked like some rooms were being upgraded, and other family members had wood floors that we'd have preferred. We also didn't get the complimentary water bottles the room was supposed to include, and it could use some maintenance. For what we paid, you could probably get a better hotel. Later, when our family was still in their room after we'd moved to another hotel, we visited once and the cleaning lady let us in just because we said they were staying there. I'm glad she did, but it didn't seem professional since we could have been anyone trying to get into a room. Honestly, I wouldn't stay there again when you can probably find a better stay for about the same price.
