Hotel Villa Capricho

The rooms are spacious, and the workteam is really kind. A very good place.

The location is great, really close to the ocean, but for what we paid, this wasn't worth it. The rooms are almost like the pictures, and the hotel seems more suited to party people. On our last night, people were partying right outside our door at midnight. The staff seemed a little lost too. The bathroom was kind of gross, and the hot tub jets were clogged with buildup, so we couldn't use it. The beds were hard and uncomfortable, with dips as if they'd been used for a very long time. The floor was a bit sticky, maybe from the cleaning product. The pool was so cloudy that I wouldn't let my kids use it, and the parking lot was hard to maneuver. Spend a bit extra for something better and save yourself the regret.

The towels were extremely dirty and worn, always smelled awful, and some had frayed edges. The staff were very friendly, especially the women. When I asked where to go sightseeing, they answered respectfully and with a smile. But this hotel left a terrible impression, and I wouldn't recommend it at all. We struggled with the internet on our phones and the TV from the first day. They fixed it and moved us to another room on the second floor, but that only helped that night and on our last day. The phone and TV connection never reached our room, so we had to go to the common area for internet. There's no elevator, so keep that in mind if traveling with an older person who can't climb stairs. On Saturday, after coming back from the beach, we wanted to relax, eat, and have a quiet drink by the pool tables. Instead, a children's party had the whole space, and we guests were left with a tiny corner. The children left the entire pool filthy, and nobody cleaned it, just because it was the boss's party. They could have told us there'd be an event during our stay. You go there to relax and feel comfortable, and we're not paying 3,000 pesos.
