Gran Hotel Las Fuentes

They call it kid-friendly because there's a play area, but my child couldn't eat breakfast on the one day we went during our stay because of the silly wristband they give you. We were going to eat on our last day, since they only told us breakfast was included when we renewed. For the other three days, we went out to eat because nobody had told us about breakfast. We were willing to pay, but no one explained anything, and when we asked for information, they were very rude. We had a two-bed room for our family of three. Acting like a four-year-old would eat the whole buffet just because they weren't included was ridiculous.

The staff were all friendly and gave great service, especially the attentive restaurant team. I loved the buffet. But the hotel is really old, the carpet was dirty, and the sliding doors wouldn't lock because they were too old. It needs a lot of repairs, and for our family it was just okay. We stayed two nights. The first night, young kids were loud until 2 a.m. The second was worse, with music so loud it sounded like a club inside our room. People came and went all night, drinking, smoking, and fighting. I called security four times. Each time the guests quieted down for a few minutes, then started up again. We didn't sleep at all that night. If you want to party and stay up all night, this is the place for you. For a family hotel, it isn't.

The service was my favorite part, of course. There were some cool things, like exotic birds and drinks, too. But the rooms looked very outdated and poorly cared for, with strange stains on the carpets and badly cracked floors. A little more maintenance and I'd give it five stars. Good hotel overall.
