Hotel San Francisco

The hotel’s location made getting around easy. Restaurants, cafes, and town tours were just steps away, and there were bars in the square. I arrived on a weekend and liked the relaxed nighttime atmosphere. From my upstairs room by the window, I could watch people heading to church downtown. The room was cozy and reasonable for the less than $20 a night I paid, with working hot water, a TV, and a fan for the heat. Everything seemed to work. I’d booked another hotel before the trip, but they wanted a deposit at a Banamex, so I decided to find somewhere myself after arriving on a Tequila Plus bus from Guadalajara. I didn’t know where the Centro was, asked for directions, and spotted this hotel beside the church while walking downtown. A sign at the entrance said “Hotel familiar,” alongside pictures of saints, so it looked like a family hotel. I went upstairs, found the rates posted since there was nobody to ask, and was surprised by how cheap they were. I’d recommend it if you want a very cheap, decent family place to sleep and don’t need a jacuzzi or similar extras.
