Our visit this Easter week was awful, especially compared with the excellent first time we came. The place has become run down. There was no gas, so they had to bring in a temporary tank. When they moved the stove, it was filthy and had huge cockroaches. The kitchen light was out; they said maintenance was underway and promised to fix it, but never did. There were duck droppings in the pool while its light was being repaired. There also wasn't enough furniture around the pools for us. We were two families, but the staff scolded us for having a parasol and a small tent, saying we could only have one of each. Service was very good two years ago, which makes the change a shame. I don't recommend it now.

The pool area is a highlight, with a large pool, a small one for children, a 1.60-meter section and a 4-meter diving pool with a board and two platforms. Since the diving pool is part of the main pool, be careful if you're not a strong swimmer. There are grills, lounge chairs and a jacuzzi, plus restrooms and changing rooms nearby. Beyond that are a tennis court and more green space. The gardens are lovely, with pine trees, lush plants and plenty of light through the cabins' floor-to-ceiling windows and blinds. The two-story cabins have a living room with a sofa bed, dining area, kitchen and half-bath downstairs. Upstairs is a bedroom with a king bed and a sofa bed for two, along with a full bathroom with a large sink, double shower, towel space and full-length mirror. The simpler rooms just have beds and a bathroom. Kitchens come with a stove, microwave, refrigerator, coffee maker and blender, but not cooking basics like pots, pans, dishes, cutlery or spatulas. They may lend you some, though I'd bring your own, along with oil, matches and other small things if you're a group. It's easy to reach, though the road in is unpaved, and Soriana supermarket is close by if you want to buy food to cook. Dogs are welcome as long as you clean up after them. Brenda is friendly and attentive. There's Wi-Fi and TV, but only one channel, which probably won't matter if you're there to rest. The entrance has a large gate and someone is always on guard, so it feels safe. Prices are reasonable. I recommend checking it out.

There are bugs all over, the pool is filthy and full of insects, and the room doors don't work properly. The facilities have been badly neglected. It seems like this place was nice years ago, but not anymore.

The New Year's Eve event was pretty acceptable, but the stay itself was disappointing. The cabin was dusty, had no hot water, the stove grates didn't work right, and the pool water was ice cold. Manager Brenda got angry whenever we asked her anything. Other guests seemed free to do whatever they wanted, and nobody stepped in about the noise and disorder, even with lots of families and children around. We couldn't get proper sleep. We'd come back if they changed management.
