Ensenada Backpackers

We loved the beautiful murals all over the Ensenada Backpacker, and the beds were warm, clean, and comfy. The WiFi worked great, and downtown was an easy walk. There’s a girls only bedroom and bathroom/shower, which we didn’t use since we were with two guys, but it’s a great resource. We felt our car was safe parked outside the hostel. I stayed with three of my best friends, and for two of us it was our first hostel experience. It felt comfortable and home-like, and we’re so glad we found it. We’ll be back.

The internet was fast enough for streaming movies and video calls, and I wound up extending my stay. The hostel had a great crowd and a fair price. The beds were comfy, though not the newest model. It’s close to everything in the city, with a convenience store right across the street. I also had a safe place to tuck away my motorcycle.

The staff really look after their guests. They even went out drinking with us, and when one guest got very drunk, they paid for a cab and went along to get him safely back to the hostel. The place is super clean and friendly, in a safe area close to everything. Staff speak perfect English. There’s a great kitchen, very fast WiFi, and really comfy beds with great quality bedding. One of the best hostels, highly recommend it.

The hosts were kind, friendly, and helpful with everything. Xavier was especially chatty and friendly, and made our stay great. The dorms are comfortable, with lockers and spare padlocks if you need them. Our group of three visited in low season and was given a 6 bed dorm; the staff booked people thoughtfully, leaving enough room, and we didn’t end up sharing with anyone during our 3 nights. There’s a well equipped kitchen and a great outdoor space, and we even had a barbecue one night. I spent a day here hungover and it wasn’t a living hell. Would recommend if you’re visiting Ensenada.
