Quinta la Perla

The quiet location and lovely pool were the bright spots. My reservation had to be changed, and I was charged twice. I stayed in March and still haven't received the refund, six weeks later. I've called and left messages, emailed, and had both my travel agent and Expedia contact them. They keep promising to sort it out, but nothing has come through. The room also had a big stain on the ceiling or wall and nowhere to sit and relax. There's no coffee maker anywhere on site, and the nearest coffee shop is a ten minute walk. The water dispenser was often empty. The bed was rock hard, up in the loft where the air conditioning doesn't reach. There are no opening windows, just the door. I wouldn't stay again or recommend it.

The patio, with its flowers and plants, is lovely, and the whole place is beautifully decorated. There's also a pool. Before I arrived, manager Diego communicated really well and explained the room options and things to do and see in Guadalajara. Check-in and check-out were easy. The property is in a nice area near historic places. Wi-Fi worked well, and there was a microwave, fridge, and free drinking water. I'd recommend considering this place if you're staying in Guadalajara.

Everything downtown is within walking distance, from clubs and shops to places to eat. The rooms are clean and quiet, and the staff are always great. Gracias Diego por todo!!
