Hotel Playa de Cortes

There's a restaurant on site and a private beach area. It's an older motel, but the rooms are clean and the place feels quiet and peaceful. This is my preferred place to stay in Guaymas.

The service is horrible, and I wouldn't recommend staying here. The beds are rock hard and the pillows paper thin. Bugs in the shower, sinks about to fall off, outlets barely working, and WiFi that hardly works either. Spend your money somewhere else. Avoid this place at all costs.

I stayed on 4-5-25. The room was old and badly needed updating, but I could manage that. What I couldn't handle was a wedding with an extremely loud diesel generator and music blasting until 5:30 in the morning. I might as well have slept in my car. They apologized at checkout, but that didn't give me back the sleep I lost. For the price, I expected something half decent, and the stay was much worse than I could have imagined. I'd tell anyone considering this place to look elsewhere. There are no redeeming qualities.

The nights we stayed were noisy, and one night some drunk people tried to break into my room. The room phone had bad wiring. When they finally left, I went to the front desk to ask about canceling because of the security issue. The person in charge said the troublemakers had already gone, as if that would make me feel better. I also asked for a refund for my remaining day, but they said they couldn't refund it.
