Hotel Premier

I’ve stayed here a couple of times. It’s on the edge of the city in a somewhat industrial area. The rooms are clean, and there’s A/C, WiFi, secure parking with a 24-hour guard, a guest computer, and a printer. The staff are friendly, and some at reception speak English and Spanish. The kitchen could use work. The menu options haven’t made me sick, but the food needs improvement, so I’d bring your own or eat out. The rule against visitors after 11 is a little unusual, but generally manageable.

For a business stay, there’s a good workspace in the room, plus PCs guests can use. Free WiFi reaches the rooms and common areas well. Families or people visiting for fun can make use of the swimming pool. It’s a nice, clean, safe place to stay.

I don’t understand why this hotel gets the best reviews in Hermosillo. It was clean, but the walls in my room were so thin I could hear details of the neighbors’ conversations. At 3 am, several really loud thuds woke me up. I called reception, and they said, “No one else has complained about it.” I remember thinking, maybe that’s because it just happened. Their customer service definitely isn’t “premier”!

The rooms are comfortably sized, and the hotel is a comfortable place to stay. It’s one block from the north and south freeways, and four blocks from the Hotels Northern Zone of Hermosillo. Take the north freeway to the International Airport, or the south one to the National Bus Station. There are restaurants, late-night clubs, and bars nearby. Local buses for downtown or trips around the city stop just a few meters from the hotel. A reservation / contract includes a taxi to either the airport or the bus station at no extra fee. You can reserve by phone or in person. The pictures tell no lies, it’s good.
