Hotel Marina Resort & Beach Club

A very nice, affordable resort. The staff were helpful, the pools were clean and nicely situated, and it’s close to the beach and shopping.

I’m here now and wish I weren’t. The beds are hard, there’s only a sheet for a blanket, and there’s no fridge. They won’t give you more than one 500ml bottle of water. Staff barely speak or understand English, and don’t get the included breakfast, it’s awful and very limited. I’m not even sure why I’m giving it 2 stars, but I haven’t been in the pool and it looks pretty, so I’ll give it that. I could go on about the disappointment, but I think you get it. Stay somewhere else!

The setting was lovely, right by the water, and we had a nice view from our room. The pool was relaxing, parking was free, and the housekeepers were great. We stayed three nights, but the rooms felt dated and needed some maintenance. Service was friendly, though sometimes slow. One receptionist was rude and very unfriendly. There were no coffee machines or cups in the rooms, and no covers or blankets. With the AC on it was chilly, but without it, too hot. Nobody offered us towels at the pool during our three days there. It was an okay stay for the scenery, but comfort, upkeep, and service could improve.

The place has an old-world feel, with beautiful views from the rooms. The rooms were clean, and there’s a good location and a nice restaurant next door. You can order food and drinks at the bar. Staff and service were very friendly and helpful. There’s no elevator, so if stairs are a problem for you, you may want to reconsider.
