Casa Chukum

HORRIBLE stay and service. We spent two nights here and on the second day there was no water, so nobody could shower. They asked for payment in cash and dollars, even though that isn’t Mexico’s currency. The showers were filthy and full of hair, and the drains are raised at the highest part of the floor, so water gets trapped. Ants covered the bed at night and we couldn’t sleep. The cleaning staff seemed to have no idea what they were doing. The AC units and TVs didn’t work, and the house design made it impossible to ventilate, even with all the doors and windows open. We felt robbed, especially for the price and lack of service. When we called to ask for an explanation and refund, they answered but said the manager wasn’t in the office. I would never recommend this place, maybe the worst stay in Holbox, possibly all of Mexico.
