Choby's House Holbox

The beach access nearby is beautiful, and the location is great. Lovely place, with really kind and helpful people.

We felt the owner didn't want guests. He avoided eye contact with us, though the woman working there was very nice. The rooms were clean but old, and not very good. The area around the hotel was bad, and the beach wasn't good either. It looked like nobody cared for the beach area. It absolutely wasn't worth the price. We felt cancelling and paying the cancellation fee just to avoid staying there was worth it.

I loved my 3 nights at Choby's House. I wanted a quiet hide and seek place, since the beach gets more crowded closer to the centre. The room was very clean and had a bigger fridge than I usually find in a hotel. You can use the kitchen too. Right at the start, I had a friendly chat with the people there and got all the information I needed. They suggested a nearby place for breakfast that also serves Pizza. There’s a small grocery store there too, with nice bread and good quality cheese and ham. Families who don’t want to spend money every day can get spaghetti and cook in the kitchen. They also told me about nearby attractions and how to get there, like the blue beach. I knew before booking that breakfast wasn’t included, as this was indicated. One small improvement would be if the family cooked some simple local food. It always looked delicious, and I’d rather spend my money supporting the family here.
