There’s potential here, and the manager was genuinely friendly and approachable. The other staff were kind as well, though the team still seems to be learning and the operation needs more polish. The rooms also need a few basics: there was no proper storage in the room or bathroom, no towel hooks, and few shower supplies or places to put personal items. On a multi-night stay, that made things less comfortable and practical. When we booked through Booking.com, the hotel was brand new and had no room photos or clear information about the bedding setup. The listing has since been updated, but that missing detail left us with expectations that weren’t met when we arrived. The property still felt like it was in a soft opening, rather than running at a true 4-star level. At its current price, it felt more like a well-meaning 3-star hotel, and the value didn’t match the cost. With better room readiness, clearer listings from the beginning and more staff training, it could become a very nice place to stay. For now, be aware that the hotel is still settling into its operations.

A sign I passed advertised a junior suite for $1,000 pesos a night, and it was incredibly comfortable. I spent two nights here and had a great stay. It’s very close to the beach and the main road with all the shops. The turtle sanctuary nearby is especially worth a visit, I’d recommend it. This would be my first choice when I come back to town.

I’m sure I’ll come back. The rooftop deck with its pool is nice, and the room was quite good for my week-long stay, though I was alone. There are bigger rooms, including ones that can accommodate longer stays. It’s a brand new hotel, so everything is clean and polished with nice new finishes. As with any new opening, there are a few things to sort out. The staff are still getting oriented, but they’re certainly trying to provide excellent service. The bed wasn’t a queen as advertised, and the sink was too small for the washroom. There’s no storage, though that wasn’t a big issue for me on my own. Echoing hallways and the courtyard amplified sound, so the next-door rooster woke me in the morning. That’s down to mother nature, not the hotel. After the first night, they kindly moved me to a quieter room toward the front. I also met the owner and his blessed 93 year-old father, which added a personal, authentic touch. There’s potential for this to become one of Mazunte’s pristine hotels.

The shower screen is a little short, so water can end up around the toilet if you’re not careful drying off. Aside from that, the hotel lived up to its promises, and the rooms have what you need for a comfortable stay. I was there just a few days ago and it exceeded my expectations.
