The whole experience was awful, easily the worst of my month in Mexico. When I first booked, I couldn't find a way to add my 4-year-old. On arrival I offered to pay extra, but they wanted twice the room price. Then they said children weren't allowed, and offered to let me stay one night for 200$mx, check me out the next day, and return my money. They didn't return the payment for the extra 3 nights the next day, just the 200 pesos. We wouldn't have wanted to stay anyway. The rooms didn't match the listing. It was noisy late into the night, a bright light shone outside the window with no blackout curtains, the shower water was freezing, and there was no drinking water, even though it's offered everywhere else in mazunte. Customer care was appalling, and they lied throughout. The stress isn't worth it, there are hundreds of lovely people to rent your magical place from. If you're booking because you're desperate, make sure you add the refund option insurance. You'll thank me later.

There was just one outlet and a fan in the room, which was a little small, but it also had a small table and two chairs. The windows had screens and a nice breeze came through. The hotel sits right on the main road, with an easy walk to the beach. For the location and price, it was all pretty good.

Stay away. The room was very dark and could get hot with just a regular ceiling fan. It had no windows, only mosquito nets, and the wooden walls were paper thin, with even a hole leading to the shop next door. The bed sagged into a U shape, so my colleague and I kept rolling into the middle. It was also close to the main street and noisy. We had to get drunk to sleep. NOT RECOMMENDED.

Poor service all around. The notice in the room said checkout was at midday, and we left at 11:57am, but they refused to hold our luggage because they said checkout was 11am. Nobody told us that at check-in, and we'd even cleaned the room before leaving. Staff were very rude and unreasonable. They also tried to charge more for our nights. When we showed them the cheaper online price, they finally agreed to it so they wouldn't pay third-party fees, but wouldn't let us speak with a manager about it. Room cleaning cost $100mxn each time, and after four nights we still hadn't had the toilet paper replenished.

The location was the only good thing about our stay over New Year's 2018/19. We'd booked three rooms. Two had bathrooms, while the third was in a sort of rooftop tower reached by a steep ladder-like staircase and a hole in the roof. It had no walls or windows, just bedsheets for privacy, and the bathroom was two floors down. We found another place for my friend's daughter, and my wife and I stayed in a room with a bath. That room had two reasonably clean beds and a tiny concrete bathroom, maybe five or six feet square, with a shower and toilet together. When you showered, the toilet got one too. The water was cold, as the single faucet made clear. The bathroom walls didn't reach the ceiling, and the terrace table and chairs were right outside, so people could hear everything. There was also a ceiling-level opening in our bedroom wall, about 1 by 5 feet, covered only by a screen and connecting to the next room. We could hear all their conversations and activities. Our friends had a similar setup, plus a toilet leaking sewage where it met the floor. We paid 700 pesos a night. I can't recommend it and wouldn't return.
