Hotel Embajadores

The smell in room 217 was horrible, and the hotel felt disturbing and disgusting. We had to call the authorities to get the problem fixed. Please don't waste your time here. I wouldn't recommend it and won't come back.

The bathroom was shockingly bad, and the hotel looks decades old, like something from the 80s. The online photos don't match what we found. I know it's relatively cheap, but there should still be standards, and this place didn't meet them. When I went to reception to raise the state of my room, the security guard made a sly remark in Spanish, “if we can't understand, we can't understand.” I spoke Spanish to the receptionist, but they still acted as if they didn't understand. Wouldn't recommend it.

The woman at reception was really nice, the only good thing about the place. The hotel looked nothing like the pictures. It felt like a concrete block from the 70s, with plants, some fake, scattered around without any harmony among all the concrete, metal, and stone. The room made me want to cry. It smelled like cigarette smoke, the open wardrobe looked like it had been picked up from the street, and the toilet had no seat or lid. The view was pipes and tanks. Our friends' room was dirty too, with an oily floor and urine stains on the toilet. The price wasn't justified.

The location was convenient for walking to the little downtown, ATMs, and bus station. The beds were comfortable, but the rooms were a problem. Ours was dirty, with urine all around the toilet seat and hair there too. The other room we were given had pee or some kind of human fluids on the sheets. Service was rude and unprofessional. When we tried to report the issues, the employees wouldn't put us in touch with anyone higher up. We were there in July 2023.
