The room was very nice, and the staff were friendly. But we booked a night as a special anniversary treat, and people kept coming into our room for three hours that afternoon and evening to put up an outdoor shower curtain. They never hung it. One reason we chose this place was the tub and outdoor shower, and we wound up showering in the dark because we couldn’t turn on the lights at night. At checkout, staff just said “Sorry.” Then the manager ran after me and offered an upgrade next time. I accepted, though I felt a free night would have been more appropriate. She said she’d send details, but never did. Poor customer service. There was also loud construction on condos all around the hacienda. Black tarps cover the area, making the view from the lovely pool feel like a post-industrial wasteland. The photos are taken from the construction area, so you don’t see it. Our balcony was too noisy to enjoy. Restaurant food was just OK.

The cocktails were even better than the big pool, which was great. The food was pretty good too, though both food and drinks cost a lot. I was lucky to visit when the resort wasn’t very busy. My room was spacious, really clean, and peaceful. Such a relaxing place just outside Merida.

The staff were exemplary, well above what I’d expect for hospitality. We were greeted warmly and made to feel at home in a charming room. The gorgeous property is beautifully maintained, and the architecture has lovely details, from the seashell-filled tiles to the hidden air conditioning registers.

The room was lovely, and the staff were amazing and caring. We had a great time and loved our stay. The location worked perfectly for us between the beach and the city, though you’ll need a car or use Uber a lot. We hadn’t realized construction was happening. They’re building 90+ apartments on the property beside the main pool, and the noise took away from the boutique hotel feel we wanted. With only one pool clean and nice enough to swim in, the loud surroundings weren’t ideal. They advertise three pools, but the other two had debris and dead bugs floating in them. They’re fine if you just want to sit beside a pool. It’s sad to think this won’t be a boutique hotel anymore.

We had a wonderful first stay as a family with our 15mo toddler. Everyone was amazing to us from the moment we arrived until we drove away. Service was 10/10, and they even surprised me with a birthday cake. The hotel felt like a jungle, our suite was huge, and the pool was great. There were daily activities. Some construction at the back of the property, but it was minimal. Hotel gets 9.7/10 from me. The restaurant was the weak spot, 6/10. The staff there were attentive and lovely, but the food quality and taste weren’t what I expect from Mexico. It wasn’t bad, just not great. We ate there three times, and each meal had something below average, like pork belly with too much fat or a not very good octopus tostada. The vegetables, bread, tortillas, butter, and jams were some of the best we’ve had, though, and they had a vegetarian menu for my wife, which helped. It’s about 25 mins from the Airport, Downtown Mérida, and Progresso beach, so plan to drive, Uber, or arrange transport. We drove and parking was easy and free. If walking is difficult for you, mention that when booking since some areas have lots of steps. We’d absolutely come back. Better restaurant food would make the place even better. Thanks to the staff for looking after us so well.
