Hotel Maya Yucatán

The location is the one good thing, close to most major restaurants and downtown points of interest. Otherwise, it was a disappointment. The rooms were extremely dirty and poorly maintained, the pool water looked dirty and was very cold, and the parking lot was incredibly dirty and really small. Even just using the place to sleep and shower was unpleasant. If you get the chance to book here, avoid it like the plague.

The rooms were nasty, and the beds were just box springs, really uncomfortable. A nearby outdoor nightclub kept making noise until maybe 1 or 2 am. We paid for 9 nights but left after 4 because we couldn't take it anymore.

The hotel was a nightmare. The walls, furniture, bedding, and towels were stained and filthy, and the place was falling apart. There was no hot water, the toilets wouldn't flush properly, a hole in the ceiling, and floorboards coming up in our room. It needs serious repairs and looks nothing like the pictures online. I wouldn't recommend staying here unless you want somewhere substandard, uncomfortable, and unsanitary. Truly terrible.

The staff were really friendly and helpful, but that couldn't make up for how much work the hotel needs. The ramp for disabled guests had been closed for some time and stayed closed throughout our visit, so our parent, who's over 80, had to climb steps to get in. That's unacceptable. We paid for a more expensive room, but it didn't match the website photos. We arrived at 10:45 pm to find the AC off and a mildew smell. There was no hot water, and it took them a full day to fix it. The closet paint was badly peeling, the wooden floor was warped with missing pieces and a trip hazard, and the front door was extremely hard to open. On the second day, they shut off water throughout the building for more than five hours without telling anyone. The employees didn't express concern or tell us where we could use a bathroom. We only stayed because it was late, we were tired, and we were there for just a few days.
