The staff were excellent, friendly, and looked after us well. The rooms were clean, but the plastic sheet on the bed could make you sweat. We were on the road side, and the traffic was VERY NOISY. That’s the main reason I wouldn’t recommend staying here. Try to find a quieter road or get a room on one of the sides. The food was okay, though plenty of nearby places serve much better.

There’s plenty to do within walking distance, and the hotel is centrally located. The front desk staff were helpful and very nice, and the food was good, although it seemed there was only one person working at a time. I stayed a few nights and had mixed feelings. My room and bathroom were huge, but some people traveling with me said their bathrooms were tiny. The room smelled musty, probably because the hotel is old. They still use real keys, which is charming, though locking and unlocking could be annoying. There’s no elevator, so you may need to carry your bags upstairs if staff are busy. There seemed to be a currency exchange at reception, but I never saw anyone staffing it. Laundry was available, but expensive and handled with industrial-level washing.

The hotel went out of its way to make my stay enjoyable. They arranged a car from the airport, helped my girlfriend get a prescription filled at a pharmacy, and cleaned the room every day, among other things. The price was reasonable too. I was there for a wedding, and the big downside was road noise. Even as a deep sleeper, I woke up from it almost every night around 4-5am.

We left after the first night of our honeymoon. The room was a good size and style, but the special honeymoon setup I’d booked wasn’t ready when we arrived, which was very disappointing. President suite 205 was extremely loud from the street. Service needs work, and breakfast fell short of what we expected at this price. Management changed our reservation and refunded the unused nights, which I appreciate. For its location, standard, and service, the hotel felt significantly overpriced.
