6/10
The rooms were clean and the AC worked, and the location was okay. Reception was helpful when we arrived, but the next day the staff couldn't say when the reservation lady would be in, and told us only she could help. Food service was disappointing too. At breakfast they said we'd have to pay for a child to eat, but when we tried to sort it out, nobody was around to help. At dinner they forgot our napkins, salt, tortillas, and water, and the service was mediocre. The pool is small. I'd stay at the hotel again, just wouldn't add breakfast or eat at the restaurant.

The pool was empty, the shower ran cold, and there were dead cockroaches in the room. On top of that, it was filthy, with mold and peeling paint, and the service was bad. A truly disgusting night. Hard to believe this is called a 4 star hotel. At best, it felt like a 2 star HOSTEL. Stay well away.

The staff were so friendly that we'd definitely come back on another visit. We spent two nights here in Mérida and loved it. The room was cozy and clean, and the pool was a nice place to cool off and relax after walking around the city. It's an easy walk to the main square and plenty of restaurants. When it poured one day, we had lunch at the hotel restaurant, and the dishes were really nice.

Breakfast was a joke, with very little food and poor service. They brought out four pieces of fruit on a plate. There was no restaurant or food service, either. The location is good, about a 15-minute walk into town. Rooms were okay, but the toilets were filthy, and there was no fridge, coffee machine, or safe.

4/10
The room was noisy, as others have said. Food was mediocre at best at both dinner and breakfast, and the cairota kept forgetting our order even though it was written down. We were also only allowed the included breakfast for eight of the nine people in our group because we were split across four rooms. That was super odd.
