Hotel Siesta Real

The place seemed to be falling apart, not somewhere to relax. The pool was ice cold in April and looked dirty. Neither stairwell had safety banisters, so a person has to get down to the ground before trying to step into the pool. Our reservation couldn't be found. The first room was dirty and in a work area, so we had to move. The second was average, but it was supposed to have two queen beds and instead had one queen and one double. There was no Kleenex, no towels, the light by the sink didn't work, and the toilet seat was loose and falling off. We had to fight with staff for towels and only got some pool towels. There were four of us and we initially found just two towels. I won't come back.

The price was very good, and I'd stay again, though I'd bring my own coffee maker. The motel has good parking right in front of the room, excellent security, and a great check-in experience with very nice, helpful staff. Breakfast from the nice restaurant is included with the room on a special menu. The room was very clean and the bed comfortable, with a small refrigerator and flat-screen TV. It's a motel, and amenities like shampoo, conditioner, and lotion weren't provided. There was a small bar of soap, but NO COFFEE MAKER ☹️. The bathroom sink also had no hot water.

The pool area is amazing, especially on a hot day, and you can get food delivered from the restaurant. The restaurant is attached and yummy, the staff are friendly, and the parking is guarded. The older one-story rooms are basic but super clean, with comfy beds. Great location, not expensive, and a hidden gem. Staff don't speak English if that matters to you. Highly recommend!

For the price, it was a good stay and I felt safe at night with a guard posted outside. The shower took a while to cool down, probably because it's so hot outside. Around 6:00am our AC stopped working, but by 6:05 they had moved us to another room where it worked. My uncle's room looked much better than mine, so they must be remodeling. I'd stay again for the price.
