Staff were courteous, and the other guests we saw seemed friendly. The place was quite full, so it wasn't full of bad people. Still, our room was bad enough that we won't stay there again. We travel in Mexico often and don't usually avoid cheap hotels, but I think the owners could improve things a lot with a little effort. We only needed a bed for the night, so our expectations were low. The $75 price seemed reasonable, and we knew there'd be no hot water or TV. But the room was much dirtier than I'd expect for that price. The doors didn't feel secure, with no deadbolt or inside chain. There were no towels, though we didn't shower. Strange marks around holes in the walls looked like burn marks or old bug stains. At 2 a.m., someone checked into the room across from us and we could hear everything they were doing. They were going at it pretty energetically.

The bathroom had mold, and the rooms were very dirty, with bedbugs and roaches. We had to ask to move rooms. My son came home covered in bedbug bites. It was a terrible stay, and I wouldn't recommend this hotel or come back.

The room did have warm water, a working toilet, decent flooring, and good insulation. The price seemed fair for an economy stay, and I was told in advance that there was no cable. I didn't try the cooling system, but the unit looked new. Still, it's a two-star experience for me, though maybe they'll improve and I'll change this review. There were pigeons on the roof, and I could hear them moving around and making noise. The second-floor rooms face the main road, so car noise carried on all day. The windows should be thicker. Privacy was a problem too, because the curtains didn't cover the whole window and one was falling off. A chair was coming apart, the bathroom pipes were oxidized, and the curtain smelled damp and moldy. There's a no-smoking sign, but I found lots of cigarette butts near our entrance. The place felt scary, with dirt, bad smells, loud noises, and issues with the installations and door security. They should keep it as clean as possible, since that's a basic requirement for any hotel. I hope someone who runs the place reads this feedback.

We've stayed at this hotel quite a few times over the years, and nothing like this had happened before. I left at 2:45 pm and went to another hotel. I want a full refund and an apology from the staff or management. They need to fix this embarrassing situation or fire those receptionists and hire people who are bilingual. When I checked in, I told the young man with glasses that my fiancée would arrive later because she was still at work. He said she should come to the desk for a car pass. But when she got there, the desk staff said she couldn't enter as a visitor. One of them called me about it, but my fiancée said they'd called several times and my room phone never rang, even though I was standing by it at the desk. The phone line was plugged in, but it didn't ring at all. Phones in Mexico often don't work, in my experience. I went outside to get her and ask why she couldn't come up, since the receptionists didn't understand or speak English. There were lots of people in the lobby, and she was sitting in her car. She said no, and felt embarrassed and hurt by the whole thing. My fiancée said we should go to another hotel, so I grabbed my things and left.

I've been coming here for over eight years. It's safe, friendly, and a good price. Nothing fancy, but I've never had a problem.
