Someone else was given the room while I was still using it. I did notice wanted to renew.

The location was decent, but the noise and the way staff handled things made my week disappointing. The walls are thin enough that you can hear almost everything. One stay, my room was beside reception, where staff often laughed and talked loudly even though they knew guests were nearby. It was hard to relax or sleep. They weren't very friendly to me as a solo traveler either, and often didn't answer when I asked for information about the area. I changed rooms twice during my week there. For the second move, I paid extra to get somewhere quieter, since the quieter section only had rooms with two beds. Even after paying, the staff seemed annoyed, which made me uncomfortable. I also had trouble with a laundry delivery. Traffic delayed me coming back from a tour, so I missed the delivery. The hostel wouldn't accept it for me, despite knowing I was staying there for the week, and I had to pay an extra fee to have it brought again the next day. It's fine for one night, but I wouldn't choose it for a longer stay.

From the outside, this doesn't really look like a hotel. It feels more like an old house turned into one. We booked a few days ahead after they sent photos, the location, and the price. The rooms are small, all with double beds, either one or two. We stayed three nights. When we got back after going out to eat before check-in, our room was clean but had no towels. Noise from the hall carried loudly into the rooms, so it felt like people were in ours. The toilet tank didn't have enough water or pressure to flush properly during the first two nights. They moved us to a different room on the third night, but the noise was just as bad. I wouldn't return, though you could give it a try.

The location was the best part, and at the online price of less than 1,000 pesos, the value was reasonable. The hotel looks new, but it still smelled of paint and seemed to be finishing some details. My stay wasn't pleasant. I had booked a double room at another hotel through Booking.com. On arrival day in Mexico City, I was told by phone that Booking.com had overbooked and was offered two rooms here instead. I arrived on Saturday, and the staff weren't helpful. It wasn't my fault that my reservation at Hotel Terraza 158 was canceled, and I had agreed to move to this hotel even though it was farther away. I expected at least some courtesy from the host. The rooms are tiny but do the job if you only need a place to sleep. There was hot water in the morning and at night, the TV signal was absent or very weak, and hallway noise came through loudly. I was cold with only one blanket on the bed. The staff working Sunday were friendlier than the woman there Saturday.

It's quiet at night, which made it great for resting, and the beds were comfortable. There are no signs outside, but reception gave good service. One thing, employees chatted in the hallway, and from the downstairs rooms it felt like you were right in the middle of their conversation.
