The staff really made this stay. The breakfast team and everyone looking after guests on the terrace were so warm and full of energy. Don’t skip breakfast or the terrace food, especially the flatbread, and that welcome margarita was the best I’ve ever tasted. We’d arrived worn out after a very noisy stay in Sayulita, and when I asked for a quieter part of the hotel, the staff upgraded us to one of the biggest rooms for the week. The hotel itself felt like living in a castle. We were glad we chose Centro over Roma or Condesa, with the historic district just steps away and a very authentic feel. We hated leaving without saying goodbye to everyone. One of our best hotel stays, and I’d book again as soon as there’s availability.

The rooftop bar was great, and we spent hours up there. Breakfast was included and fantastic, with chilaquiles as my favorite. Our room looked over a restaurant courtyard, but the heavy doors kept it quiet even while the restaurant was busy. I loved the brick, and the bathroom had a huge shower and a one-way mirror for privacy. The bed was cozy, with enough room to unpack. The pool was closed during our stay. There was a sister hotel we could have used, but the one day we had for a swim, it was hosting a private event.

8 to 13 March 26, room DT03. The location made it easy to get around CDMX and see the Centro Historico sights. Breakfast was very good, and the breakfast and cleaning staff were friendly and excellent. The room was clean. The upstairs bar and pool were pretty good, though we were out all day and didn’t use them much. The room had a really unpleasant damp smell. The air-conditioning sounded like a jet but barely did anything, and the bed was hard. The shower and toilet shared one space that opened onto the room. The only window was the door to a very noisy inner courtyard, with the restaurant downstairs, music, cleaning, and other noise. Reception was okay. They let us check out two hours later and tried to soften the bed by putting a duvet under the bottom sheet.

If you want to stay near the sights in the centro histórico, this is a good spot. The hotel has a stylish look, and I really liked the suite design. Staff were wonderful, and the restaurants downstairs served very good food.

I found the booking setup really concerning. The website charged in American Dollars without telling you, and the cancel button was hidden. I believe that’s illegal in Mexico. The only way to reach customer support was through Whatsapp. They also tried to overcharge me for rooms that weren’t at their regular price. This felt like a scam, and I wouldn’t use this hotel.
