Four Points by Sheraton Mexico City, Colonia Roma

Great gym, impressive blackout curtains, and a fantastic location. This is easily the nicest Four Points I've stayed at. It's still a Four Points, so don't expect a Sofitel or Ritz Carlton experience, but it punches well above its class and beat every Sheraton or Westin I've tried, even though those are meant to be more premium. Highly recommend.

We got a free upgrade at check-in from a Superior room to junior suite 601, which was a nice surprise. We stayed three nights and were really happy with the room and the hotel's great service. There's plenty of space, a large bathroom, good water pressure, and hot water at any hour. The his and his sinks were great, and the mirrors have their own light switch. The small balcony was a big plus, with a nice city view both day and night. The TV has a few English channels if you need something on to fall asleep to. The main downside is that this room is directly below the gym. You can hear people dropping weights or medicine balls early in the morning, so sleeping past 8 or 8:30 a.m. probably isn't happening. I imagine room 602 could have the same issue.

I spent five vacation nights at the 4 Points in Mexico City and had a great stay. As someone who spends 40-70 nights a year with Marriott, I found the staff friendly and helpful. The location is hard to beat, with lots of restaurants and shops in walking distance and a bike-share station half a block away. I was upgraded to a nice Superior room, with a good coffee maker and plenty of bottled water. This will be my go-to for future trips to Mexico City.

The rooms are modern and in good shape, and the staff are friendly. As a gold member, I really appreciated being upgraded from a regular room to a junior suite. Great location, too.
