Hippodrome Hotel Condesa

Being just north of Park Mexico, on a side street, meant it was quiet at night despite all the nice restaurants nearby and the safe-feeling area. The front desk team were helpful from arrival to departure, including when I got a stomach bug. We stayed eight nights, and the room remained very clean. It was a good size, with one of the most comfortable hotel beds I’ve slept in. The bathroom was small but worked for us. Only small annoyance was the shower’s low water pressure. Great value for what we paid.

The room wasn’t especially large, though that seems pretty typical around here. Still, this was my favorite hotel in Mexico City after several visits. It’s on a quiet, tree-lined street at the north end of Parque México, with loads of bars and restaurants just steps away. Giselle was wonderful and even put balloons in the room for my partner’s birthday. They also left complimentary water and snacks. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the bathroom had Molton Brown soap and a loofah, which I rarely see at hotels.

The rooms were comfortable and nicely designed, and the staff were warm and accommodating. Hippodrome Hotel Condesa has become my favorite among the many Mexico City hotels I’ve tried. It’s on a charming, peaceful street close to a lovely park, so the spot feels convenient without losing its quiet appeal. We had a great time and are already looking forward to another visit.

Really loved it here. The neighborhood is gorgeous and central, with a quiet feel but plenty of places to eat and drink nearby. Service was terrific, everyone was attentive and friendly. Just bear in mind it’s a boutique hotel, so the rooms aren’t massive. I’d happily stay again.
