Hotel Casa Kavia

It feels like a secret I almost don't want to share. This is a very luxurious, relatively small hotel, and it feels brand new. My room, 203, had an amazing private balcony where I loved sunbathing, especially since Mexico City has no beaches. The washroom was luxurious too. I was happy with the friendly, attentive staff and the amazing location, and I'd stay again. There's a mini fridge and Nescafe coffee in the room. The rain shower had no regular shower head, which wasn't my preference. The AC sits right above the bed and could disturb your sleep, so finding a comfortable setting or changing the fan direction may help. Its position varies by room. Mine was set at 20° as shown in the attached picture. There are aerobics classes in the building at 7 am, and the instructor was much too loud on the megaphone. Management should ask them to cut the volume by half, since it can wake people still sleeping between 7 and 8 am. The towels were a bit hard and could use more fabric softener.

The location is perfect, and we really enjoyed our stay in the pleasant rooms. The details throughout the space, from lighting and lamps to mirrors, show a lot of care, and the cleanliness especially stood out. The one issue was that we never got the bill from reception.

The rooms have tasteful decor and modern amenities, and the ones overlooking the ravine give the best views. They're comfortable too. The location is excellent, with restaurants and shops in the area easy to reach.
