Hotel Cozumel

The unreliable WiFi kept disconnecting, making it nearly impossible to work or even check email. The front desk assured us it would be fixed, but nothing improved during our stay. Service was frustrating too: when we asked for help with a room problem, it took hours for anyone to respond, and the response was dismissive. The staff were unprofessional and unresponsive to our requests. I was extremely disappointed and won't return.

The price is the only thing that feels fair. There are roaches, and parts of the hotel look a bit dirty. Considering the cost, staying here isn't the worst choice, but if you can stretch your budget by a couple of bucks, I'd recommend finding somewhere with more comfortable beds.

One of the worst experiences of my life. It was dirty and noisy, with cockroaches, no hot water, and no WiFi in the room. I couldn't sleep, and the fitted sheets gave me allergies.

For $15 USD, what can you expect? The floors were in good condition, the windows opened, and the attendant seemed to be around, so leaving your key didn't mean a long wait to get it back. There's WiFi, but apparently you have to ask for the password. Close the bathroom door at night, though, or that smelly drain will get right into your nose. The bathroom was unusual, and the drain smelled bad. People also smoke on the stairs somehow, and it stinks. There's a sexy mirror over the low bed, which makes the place seem less family friendly. It seems like the low bed might be for amorous couples. It's okay for the price, but not completely kid friendly. Room service seemed expensive for what you get, though I didn't try it, so it might be amazing. There are food stands on every nearby corner, so cheaper options are easy to find. The hotel is about five miles from the airport, and Uber fares are pretty good. Don't take a taxi from the airport, it was $150 MN, compared with $96 for an Uber XL. $70+ for a pool. The busy street outside feels alive at night, too. There's a farmacia nearby if you get sick, and an elektra a block away where you can collect a wire transfer or exchange American bills if you run out of money.
