Hotel Escorial

They don’t accept cards, there’s no elevator, and the internet didn’t work at all. If you’re a digital nomad, don’t stay here.

When I came to ask for a room, I was treated in a humiliating way and felt discriminated against. The elderly staff member was extremely arrogant and discriminatory. They seemed happier to leave the hotel empty than offer friendly service. If you want to be respected as a customer, this isn't the place. It's shameful that businesses with such closed-minded attitudes exist in Mexico City.

The price seemed good, but the stay was really bad, and I expected more. We arrived and quickly realized the place wasn't what it appeared to be. I woke up itching with lots of bites, so the beds should be checked for bedbugs or some other kind of pest. They provide a TV but not a remote, and other employees were shouting loudly at certain times in the morning and kept us from sleeping. They need to improve the cleanliness and replace the staff.

It’s a great base for exploring Mexico City.
