One Ciudad de Mexico La Raza

The room itself was okay, but I wasn’t satisfied with the stay. The bed looked unwashed, with stains on the sheets. When we asked for clean ones, staff handed them over and left us to change the bed ourselves, which was unpleasant. There’s no airport shuttle, which is especially frustrating when the hotel is only about ten minutes from the airport. They do have a van, but it costs three times as much as an Uber for the airport drop-off. The front desk also didn’t speak English. Being so close to the airport, they should be able to serve international guests.

There are bus and train connections nearby, and bottled water was provided in the bathroom each day for brushing our teeth. Staff were helpful, but very few spoke English, so we had to use Google Translate to communicate. Breakfast was a bit disappointing, as it seemed geared only toward Mexican tastes.

The breakfast was disgusting. This is a hospital hotel, and the rooms were fairly clean. The design wasn’t very practical, though it was okay for a couple of nights. The area around the hotel didn’t feel safe to walk in.

The rooms are really comfortable, and the hotel is very close to downtown. The area is somewhat industrial, so it gets noisy early in the morning. Breakfast is offered, but they don’t keep all the food topped up.
