The Taman Loft Elegante 2BR 2BA en Condesa

I spent a couple of days working from the apartment and the internet was fast and dependable. It’s in a central part of Condesa, with lots of restaurants, bars, parks, and other things you’d need for a Mexico City visit nearby. I stayed at Lumina at Taman Condesa recently. The building is new and everything is well cared for. The apartment is lovely and well equipped, and the team responds quickly. I’d recommend it and plan to come back soon.

The apartment was spacious, but the furniture was old, and I left with a very bad feeling about the stay. We booked through the Travelocity App, where it appeared as a suite, though it was actually an Airbnb apartment. There was no housekeeping during our four days, not even trash collection or a change of bed sheets. The worst part was the reception: nobody there could speak even a word of English, and they were rude. The older main guy refused to give us his name and made check-in very difficult on 10th of May 2026. If you don’t speak Spanish, dealing with reception may leave you regretting it. They wouldn’t even answer calls. Traffic made the area very noisy, including at night, and for three of our four days there was an extremely bad smell coming from both toilets.

From the west side of the building, the view is stunning. It’s a modern, very new building in a great spot in the heart of the Condesa area, with plenty of cafes and restaurants within walking distance. The neighborhood felt safe and quiet. I also liked the sleek interior, especially the central stairs, which gave it a luxury hotel feel. Staff were friendly, and security at the lobby and garage was tight. An amazing apartment building.

The rooftop terrace is pleasant and the gym has good equipment. I didn’t try the pool because it looked unclean, though it was late November. My stay was enjoyable in some ways, but I wouldn’t recommend this building. The edge of Condesa is a pretty good area, yet the apartment sits on the corner of two busy roads. I was in room 205 on the second floor and got nonstop traffic noise and beeping, with only a few quiet hours at night. From 8am, cars queue on Alfonso Reyes street trying to join the bigger main road at the top of the block, so the beeping is almost constant. The patio doors have no sound insulation, and there’s nowhere to get away from it. I don’t understand how people live in this apartment block. I’d look well away from the main roads, since the residential streets are incredibly quiet.
