Tru By Hilton Mexico City Airport

We couldn't sleep because loud trucks kept passing outside our room all night. When we asked to move, he refused to give us a comparable room away from the street. This was the worst Hilton we've ever stayed in, and a horrible hotel. The rooms are tiny, maybe okay for one person, and the electronic key we requested was never sent. Breakfast was okay, but they kept running out of food and coffee. The neighborhood felt bad, with homeless people wandering around outside. It's only good as a place to crash if you can tolerate the street noise.

Hilton Honors members, be careful. I booked through the Hilton app for a work trip, then canceled in the app two weeks ahead, within the cancellation policy. On the date I would have checked out, they charged the full reservation anyway. I've contacted the hotel and Hilton Honors four times and spent hours trying to get a refund for a charge that should never have hit my card. Hilton Honors says the local management is at fault, but hasn't been able to get them to return the money. It's been over a week and I still haven't been reimbursed. Don't stay here!

Great location, and convenient when you have an early flight.

We only stayed briefly before an airport drop-off and didn't expect more than basic service, but everything was clean and neat. Every staff member was especially kind, and that stood out to us since we've stayed in plenty of hotels. The breakfast buffet was busy on Wednesday morning, yet staff did a great job replenishing things as they ran out. The free airport shuttle was really convenient, too. It's close to the airport and the roads leading to and from it, so there's definitely noise. If you need a very quiet room, bring earplugs or ask for the quietest room before you arrive.
