Liz made mornings feel calm, with a chat and delicious coffee, and she was helpful in every way. She even invited me to add photos of my family to her altar 🥹 The place stayed clean, even around Dia de Muertos, its busiest time, and I loved the location and room. The switches and plugs were a little hard for everyone to reach, but we managed. I’d recommend staying here.

The rooftop was my favorite part, with great views across Morelia, and the location was lovely too. The owner was very helpful and nice, though knowing some Spanish helps. Everything seemed clean. Facilities are basic, as you'd expect in a hostel. Only two other guests were staying there, so it wasn't very social, but it made for a peaceful stay with lots of room to relax.

Liz was great at sharing tips about places to visit and how to get around. The staff were caring and attentive, and I had a great stay in a great location. I’ll definitely come back.

The location was the one good thing. I didn’t find it worth the price: there was no hot water, working Wi-Fi, or drinkable water for guests, and we weren’t allowed to use the kitchen unless we lived there. They didn’t provide towels, shampoo, or conditioner either. I’d paid for two nights, but after the first I went to ask for a refund for the second. There was no one at reception from 10 a.m. until noon. When the woman who stays there finally appeared, she wouldn’t give me the owner’s or manager’s number, saying she’d speak to them. I eventually got the second night refunded. I wouldn’t recommend it. Stay at casa azul hostel instead. It costs $250 pesos, includes all of the above and breakfast.
