We had eight people in our family at Villa Noria, La Casa del Barro Verde, and the house worked really well for us. Everyone had a comfortable private room and bathroom, and the unit was very clean with the amenities we needed. The staff were attentive, and HOLT kept us informed about what to expect. It’s close to the center, including El Zocalo. I’d recommend this house and HOLT for a big group visiting Oaxaca de Juarez.

The decor is lovely and minimalist, and we did enjoy the place, but this is only a review of the first floor, which sleeps nine. We booked the Entire Villa and found three bedrooms and a small living area, with no kitchen. The description said we’d have the whole home to ourselves and share only with our party, which wasn’t true. Noise from guests upstairs was noticeable. Also, getting up to the upper bunks takes strength and agility, and they don’t have safety rails.

We picked this house for my birthday with family, and the rooftop was just what I wanted. There’s a dining table, outdoor kitchen, hot tub, and lovely decor. The whole place is beautiful, comfortable, and equipped for different kinds of stays. HOLT’s staff were friendly and easy to contact beforehand. I’d recommend it to anyone wanting a special spot to spend time with family or friends.

The rooftop really makes Villa Noria: it’s beautifully laid out, with a jacuzzi, grill, big dining table, lots of seating, and a great city view. My friends and I also found the bedrooms roomy and quiet, with very comfortable beds. The neighborhood is peaceful and only a short walk from the city center. HOLT staff were available and shared useful trip recommendations. I’m sure I’ll stay with them again next time.

We were lucky to find somewhere that fit 11 adults and two babies comfortably. The beds were huge and really comfortable, and the decor was beautiful. There are lots of places to spend time together or have your own space, and the rooftop patio and jacuzzi were a favorite. Oaxaca is magical, and we’re eager to return. If it fits your budget, this makes a great base for exploring the city.
