There are only three rooms, and they’re spacious. The staff are lovely and the location is perfect. I would have stayed longer if there’d been availability.

We reserved through Expedia nine months ahead for five nights in late October during Dia de los Muertos. Expedia confirmed right away and again three days before our flight to Mexico. To make sure everything was in order, we contacted the hotel after that final confirmation. They said they had no booking for us and didn’t even work with Expedia. We tried to sort it out with Expedia, which was difficult in itself. After nearly 45 minutes, we learned the hotel’s “system” couldn’t show the reservation, so it had never been made. By then, of course, there were no rooms left. Neither the hotel nor Expedia could or would do anything. We were left with flights booked and many paid, non-refundable dinners and tours. In a scramble, I booked what must have been the only room available anywhere in the city during this extraordinarily busy period, for double the price of the reservation we’d been assured existed more than once. I blame both the hotel and Expedia, and I’d never trust either of them now. NEVER!

Just a few steps from the Zocalo, with very attentive staff and spacious rooms with Wi-Fi. We’d definitely come back.

For what it costs, the location is a great deal. The staff are really friendly, and since the owner lives there, someone is always around if you need anything. It's a house that's been turned into a boutique hotel.

There are just three rooms, and each was lovely, spotless, and in a good location. There's no parking, though. Mara, the young woman on daytime reception, deserves a special thank you: she handled two problems for us quickly. We didn't get the same help from the woman on the night shift.
