Eco Hotel Las Mariposas

Las Mariposas feels like our own special place. The location is great, and we’ve made friends there whom we look forward to seeing each year. The staff are caring and attentive, almost like family. We plan to come back next year.

When I return to Oaxaca, I’ll stay at Las Mariposas again without hesitation. I led a student group tour there, and choosing this hotel was one of our best decisions. The team were incredibly kind and did everything they could to make the stay go well. Its location is great, close to restaurants, plazas, and cultural sights. The lending library next door is adorable, and when we asked for restaurant ideas, the hotel gave us a 10% coupon for a nearby place. We also appreciated the hotel’s commitment to sustainability and its connection with the community.

I stayed for six days and would highly recommend this hotel if you want to be near the center. The rooms were very clean, and the decor inside and out made the place feel comfortable. The employees were friendly and helpful, including arranging a taxi back to the airport so we could get there on time. It was a great choice.

The location is ideal, next to the English language library and within walking distance of lots of restaurants and El Llano Park. Las Mariposas feels like a home away from home. The rooms and surrounding areas are immaculate, beautifully decorated, and well appointed. The grounds are lush, with sunny and shady spots and plenty of places to sit alone or gather with friends. The owners and staff are the best part. They’re consistently gracious and helpful, whether we need a reservation, a recommendation, or even a referral to a medical professional.
