I’m staying here for a week during “day of the dead.” The room is nice and has air conditioning. The bed is good, if hard, and the bathroom is great.

The terrace is such a nice spot, with a beautiful view, and the city center is easy to explore on foot from here. Our beds were clean and comfortable, too. The staff were friendly and always ready to help. I’d happily recommend this hotel.

Even though we only stayed one night, the hotel kept our bags for five days while we traveled elsewhere, with no extra charge. Everyone was helpful with the luggage. Our room was spacious, clean, and surprisingly quiet at night for such a central location. La Casa de Maria also has a lovely patio that seemed underused. Head up to the rooftop for the views.

The location is the one real plus. The room was dark and didn’t have a proper window, and it looked nothing like the photos. I was also worried something in the bathroom might break if I touched it. For what you get, it’s too expensive. There are plenty of better places nearby.
