The room itself was clean and pleasant, though I missed having even a small desk or table. The price was good, and the staff were lovely and professional, but I wouldn't come back because I need to be able to sleep. The water pump kept starting and stopping. I tried to go to bed at 10:30 pm and couldn't sleep until 12:30 am, when it finally stopped. My alarm was set for 6:45 am, but the same noise woke me at 5:15. There was also a baby crying next door at 6 am, and the doors let so much sound through that it felt like the baby was in our room. I hope the owners take this seriously and move the pump somewhere away from the rooms, or put it in an acoustic box. If they address the noise, this could be a good, simple, clean hotel in a handy location.

The location was excellent, and I liked the relaxed feel of the place. The staff were young, friendly, and capable, and the roof terrace was a nice spot to sit with a beer. My room had attractive decor and a surprisingly large, comfortable bed. I stayed for three nights in March. For Oaxaca, where there aren't many chains and a lot of hotels feel overpriced, I thought this was fair value by European standards. I'd find it hard to justify paying much more, though. I could faintly hear people in the corridor and other rooms at night and in the morning. I'd stay here again.

The hotel has good amenities and the room looked fine, but we barely slept. The walls and doors are so thin that you can hear everything from the halls and reception at night, especially people talking or making noise. Bring earplugs if you stay.

The staff were friendly and really helpful, and the location made it easy to explore Oaxaca. LePetit has new, comfortable rooms that were very quiet. If you're looking for somewhere to stay in the city, I'd choose it.
