The garden hotel

My wife and I got there around 7:30 p.m. to find the building dark and the door locked. The doorbell was gone, and nobody was there to let us in. We were left on the street after dark with no way inside. Finding somewhere else at that hour was really difficult and cost us a lot more. I asked for a full refund, including the extra expense, but haven't had a satisfactory answer yet. This caused a lot of stress and expense. Poor organization, no way to contact them, and no service. I wouldn't recommend it, since you could be left without a place to stay in the evening.

After a tiring day and a long drive, we just wanted a shower and somewhere to rest. We'd booked online, received confirmation, and the money had been taken. Instead we found a dark, locked building. There was no doorbell or access code, nobody answered when we knocked, the phone number didn't seem to work, and our written messages got no reply. Carrying all our suitcases, bags, and backpacks, we walked around an unfamiliar city in the dark, asking hotel after hotel for a room. Most were full. Luckily, one place had a room for the night, but it cost significantly more. This place is a complete rip-off. Stay away!

We weren't too bothered by the tiny, poorly ventilated rooms, which is why we stayed. The next morning, though, we found enormous cockroaches in the bathroom, and the water cut out halfway through a shower. When we asked for help so we could finish washing, the receptionist's service was terrible.

It has what a traveler needs, but I ran into a problem when I asked for an invoice. They said, "we're not issuing them at the moment." They also photographed my ID and had no privacy notice.
