Hotel Ola De Mar

We fell asleep each night to the sound of the waves. The place was right on the ocean, quiet and very clean, and the staff were wonderful.

The rooms had no toilet paper, and there was no cleaning service. The door locks didn’t work, which made the rooms feel unsafe, and the Wi-Fi signal was so bad there was effectively no connection. The TVs had remotes with no batteries. There’s nobody on duty around the clock to help with emergencies, and there wasn’t staff on duty when we needed them. Terrible service. I wouldn’t recommend it.

The location is good, but there are plenty of things that need work. The entrance isn’t clearly marked, and staff don’t seem to notice when guests arrive. The facilities, including our room, which was the "Sailboat" room, were neglected. We stayed five days and the room was cleaned only once. Staff gave domestic guests practically no attention.

We booked the whole hotel months ahead for a wedding. Then, a month before our dates, we were told the owner had changed and there would be a beach disco right in front of the hotel from 9 pm to 3 am on four of our five nights. There was no way we could sleep with the music. They only offered us the option to cancel. I don’t recommend staying here because they didn’t keep their commitment. If it’s not going to be a hotel, they should change the name.
