Camino Real Hotel & Suites Puebla

A great stay with clean rooms and friendly service. The only downside was the lack of towels when I arrived. I had to call four times, twice during the night and twice in the morning, before one was brought up. Each time they told me it was on its way.

The only thing this hotel has going for it is the location. It’s old, the rooms are below average, the gym is a joke, and the food is pretty bad. They even charge you to park your car at the hotel you’re staying at. What? I’ve visited 14 countries and never seen anything like it.

The service was good, though it was funny to pay for parking at a hotel where I was staying. It’s my first time having to do that.

The building is old, there’s a very odd smell, and the bedroom essentials were in terrible shape. I’d booked and paid in advance for a room with a balcony, and everything seemed fine, then surprise, the rooms I’d paid for weren’t available. I was very disappointed. The bright spot was the front desk women, who were very friendly.
