Hotel del Capitán de Puebla

The water was barely warm enough for a shower, which was the one downside. Otherwise, my friend and I loved staying here. We each had our own room and felt very comfortable. The service and rooms were immaculate, and every staff member was friendly, helpful, and attentive. There are several places to relax, including a lobby table, a second-floor living room, and a giant rooftop. It's a beautiful historic hotel, built in the 1500's, and it has served many roles before becoming a hotel. The location is downtown, about a quick five-minute walk from the Zocalo, with plenty nearby. It's also a five-minute walk in the opposite direction to the historic Cinco de Mayo Avenue. The rooms are very affordable. I'd definitely recommend it to friends and family, and I'd stay again if I'm in town. If I could, I'd give it 10 stars. I feel like it's underrated.

A comfortable, spacious, good-looking place to stay in downtown Puebla, and it's clean and cheap too. It's near downtown, and walking in gives you that feeling of old times.

The room was cozy and had everything I needed, with coffee right outside on the main level. My only issue was how dark it got when I closed the door, so they should add windows to keep you from oversleeping. It's also a little far from el Zocalo, though that's no big deal.

It's a clean, rustic hotel with just a few rooms. They're quite spacious and have the basic things you'd need. The Zócalo is about five minutes away, and the nearby area feels safe for walking at night.
