Hotel Isabel

The gym wasn't easy to use: I had to get the security guard to unlock it, and the limited hours weren't mentioned at check-in or in the room. The room was also short on basics, with just hand soap, no shampoo or conditioner, and only two towels for two people. On the plus side, the hotel is cute and cozy, in a great area, and the room was extremely clean. The beds were comfortable too, although I could feel the plastic layer on top.

Our room had no window, but that didn't bother us much. The hairdryer didn't work and there wasn't another one, though we managed. The staff were really friendly, but didn't speak English. The hotel itself was clean and well equipped, with a large, very comfortable bed.

Loved the rooftop terrace, and the location was excellent.

The music in the atrium was pleasant, but it played loudly all day and carried into my room, which opened right off the lobby. Morning activity there woke me up too. I wouldn't book a room off the atrium again, although everyone was pleasant and I'd consider staying here another time. The room had some nice, modern style, and the location was great. But the shower leaked all over the floor, and its control was positioned so you had to stand in the spray to turn it on. There was no power outlet at the desk, and the TV didn't work. The safe came without instructions, and staff gave me the wrong directions, so I had to look up how to use it online. At first I was assigned a room where the maid was still working; she didn't answer when I asked how long she'd need, so I gave up waiting. The rubber mattress cover was hot and noisy, and I took it off during the first night.
