I’ve been here for two weeks and I’m considering moving for the last half week. There’s no shared kitchen for making food, despite being told there would be pots and pans, so eating out is pretty much the only option. There is a microwave. Hot water is very limited, there’s no toilet seat, and the pool and hot tub could be cleaner. The front desk staff don’t greet you when you come in or even look up, they’re always on their phones.

The location is convenient, close to the beaches, supermarket, and “la rinconada,” the restaurant area. The room is quiet and has the usual things you’d expect in a hotel room. The shared kitchen wasn’t what I expected, though, and I don’t think the place is worth the price. Reception is often empty, and the internet seems to be down more often than it works.

We came to Puerto often, but after our two nights in the first week of September, I wouldn’t stay here again unless the noise rules are enforced more. A bar sits behind the hotel, basically facing the room windows, and drunk people were shouting and singing until about 4:30 a.m. We couldn’t sleep or properly rest, which is a shame in a residential and hotel area. It feels like one small business can ruin things for the whole neighborhood.
